Did you know that Makassar City is famous for its sunset views? Well, if you live in Makassar and like photo hunting, you must have visited all of these beaches. Photographing the sunset on the beaches is very fun especially when it’s done together with photographer friends.
Curious how the sunset view on the beach? Check this out.
- Akkarena Beach Makassar
Akkarena Beach is a very well-managed beach in Makassar. I don’t know how many times I’ve visited this place.
The location is in the Tanjung area, directly opposite the GTC Makassar Mall. You will find the entrance gate there. The entrance fee is IDR 10,000 per person, and the car park is IDR 5,000.
Inside, there are many activities you can do, such as swimming in the sea, taking pre-wedding photos (paid), enjoying the sunset, and ordering food and drinks at the cafeteria. If you happen to come in the morning or afternoon, you can enjoy the fresh green trees and lakes there.
Every day the construction of Akkarena Beach feels better. Now the beach is not as narrow as it used to be. The beach is wider, so you can walk to many places around this beach.
- Tanjung Bayang Beach
If you like to bathe or swim at the beach, it’s a good idea to come to Tanjung Bayang Beach. It is also located in the Tanjung area, Tamalate District.
There are lots of people who routinely take time to travel every week with their families. They come not only to bathe but also to relax and unwind. Invite your friends, relatives, or family to come to Tanjung Bayang. But remember to keep it clean.
- Tanjung Layar Beach
If you are a photographer, Tanjung Layar Beach in Makassar must be very familiar to your ears. There is a large monument on the screen. Unfortunately, its existence is now not as beautiful as it used to be.
Even so, there are still many photographers who like to take pictures there because this place is very suitable as a place to practice photographing landscapes. My advice, come after 5 o’clock, wait until sunset. Find your best photo angle and get cool photos at Tanjung Layar.
- Tanjung Merdeka Beach
In the past, beside Akkarena Beach there was a good beach as a photo spot. If you walk past Akkarena Beach, you can see the entrance to this beach. Its name is Tanjung Merdeka Beach.
Unfortunately, this beach has been closed by the manager. I don’t know why, but hopefully, it can be reopened because the sunset view is very beautiful. The quiet atmosphere is also perfect for spending a relaxing time.
- Nameless Beach at Tanjung Bunga
I don’t know what the name of this beach is, I have never asked people. It is still in the headland area after you pass Akkarena Beach to Losari Beach.
Near Tanjung Bunga Lake, you will find a tire repair shop. Turn left, go inside, then you will find a predominantly rocky beach. There are many young people there every afternoon hanging out and mostly with their girlfriends.
This beach sunset view is very cool. Don’t forget to take some photos with sunset backgrounds to post on your social media.
- Beach Behind Trans Studio Mall
Did you know that behind Trans Studio Mall there is a beach? There the scenery is cool. Many people spend time fishing and enjoying the sunset there.
You can enter by car or motorbike. Do not come in the morning or afternoon, because the weather is hot and there is no shelter. If you’ve never been there, maybe you should give it a try. You definitely won’t regret coming there.
- Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) Beach
Unfortunately, now this beach is not accessible to the general public because it is under construction. I call it CPI Beach. In the past, when there was no beach reclamation development in Tanjung Bunga, I often took pictures there. Every afternoon I like to come to take photos or just enjoy the sunset at CPI.
People who like to take pictures will know that this place is cool. Hopefully, the future construction will be better so that I can enter the photo again there.
- Salodong Beach
Salodong Beach is far from Makassar city. You have to pass through the edge of the toll road to get there.
Salodong is the name of a fishing village. The atmosphere of the beach always seems unpretentious. With the view of the mangrove trees growing wild, the beautiful sunset makes the twilight feel familiar and makes the body not want to go home immediately.
